While I was in Florida

Second son Noah (the Magnificent) won $200 in a Magic the Gathering Grand Prix tournament. Way to go Noah—you’re on a roll! Here’s a photo of Noah (on the right) and his friend Owen (left) which appeared on the Magic event page (at either the PTQ or the Grand Prix…I can’t remember):

Your Word is “Peace”
You see life as precious, and you wish everyone was safe, happy, and taken care of.
Social justice, human rights, and peace for all nations are all important to you.

While you can’t stop war, you try to be as calm and compassionate as possible in your everyday life.
You promote harmony and cooperation. You’re always willing to meet someone a little more than halfway.
What’s Your Word?

Well, oddly enough for such a short quiz, this was right on track. Weird.

Twittering

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

Guess I haven’t been blogging lately. Blame it on Twitter. Seems the immediacy of composing short (140 characters) blogs throughout the day has lessened my desire to sit down and compose a long blog post here. In the meantime, I have linked to my Twitter site (see sidebar to right) so you can follow me if you want (or not…a lot of it is pretty boring stuff)—I mostly communicate with knitters and crocheters.

And, to satisfy your curiosity, I have been to Florida and back and am leaving again Thursday for a week but have effectively accomplished no knitting. My two winter sweaters from the Rowan Colourscape Chunky book—Solace and Valour—are at a standstill (and now that spring is coming, if it ever stops snowing) I might as well put them away unfinished and start on some spring and summer projects. I left my February Lady Sweater in Florida but was only a few rows into it on the 2nd go-round (am determined to make it fit this time). I’ve added to my stash (big surprise) and am surrounded by the ghosts of UFO’s and wannabe projects. C’est la vie.

Meantime, tweet, tweet.
